El Cucuy 

The story goes back thousands of years. As the story is told, a small town in Mexico the town had begun to fall into a way of sin. Murder, thievery, and other crimes had become common place as people had lost sight of what is good. Human nature had begun to fall from its light and fall into a world of shadows where only those willing to sin were to get ahead in society. This negative energy began to creep through the cracks in the earth into the depths of hell feeding into a tiny little demon known as El Cucuy who at this point was just a monster that scared misbehaving children into being “good” kids in the hopes that they would not be a victim of El Cucuy in their sleep. The energy that came from the sins of man began to make him grow stronger. With this new strength he said that he would rise from hell and teach humanity a lesson, that he will start a new world with them as his servants, treating him as a god.

El Cucuy was able to come onto the human world, but first he must hide his form so that humans would not see him and attack him, fore he was not as strong as he needed to be to take over the world yet, he needed the world to keep living in sin. El Cucuy was a shape-shifter, which allowed him to come into the human world and take any form in which he chooses, he could be an animal or a human if he wanted to. This allows him to come into the human world and gain the trust of humans, convince them to continue doing wrong, feeding him and making him stronger. Once he has their trust, he can infiltrate their power structures, he can show them how cruel they have become by working as a mirror and being a reflection of what they have become, for if it was not for their sinning and negative energy El Cucuy would not have been strong enough to come into the world whenever he pleases, he would not have the power to bring forth the end of the world. Once in control he demolishes everything in sight bringing about disease, plagues, destruction and death to those who do not follow him. The only thing however that can stop El Cucuy is the innocence and potential of children. Children are the future, and the innocent light of children work to push El Cucuy away. El Cucuy could never fully control the world because the innocence of children would always keep him from

Now the story of El Cucy works as a myth that warns future generations to treat others with respect and kindness for we will never know when the Cucuy will come again and end the world because it has gotten too bad
